The site and the list
What this site is for.
The site
chemnotia.com presents the stock and the way of ordering of Chemnotia, a supplier of laboratory glassware and bench consumables in Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Belgium. It is a catalogue in words and a request form. It is not a web shop, and nothing on it can be bought by clicking.
Enquiry, not contract
A completed form, like a plain email to the mailbox, counts as an enquiry and nothing heavier. The priced list that comes back is an offer, open for the period printed on it. A contract exists from the moment you confirm that offer by email and we acknowledge the confirmation; before that moment nothing is reserved and nothing is owed on either side.
What is described
Capacities, sizes and tolerance classes on this site are the figures the makers print on their goods. They describe the goods; they are not a promise that any individual piece measures a particular value, and nothing on this site is a calibration, a certificate or an assurance of fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing described here is offered for medical, diagnostic, clinical or veterinary use.
Use, ownership, liability
The ordinary clauses, in this business’s words.
Acceptable use
You may read the site and send lists through it. You may not scrape it, load it with automated requests, send anything unlawful or abusive through the form, or present its text and pictures as your own.
Intellectual property
The text, layout and drawings of this site belong to Chemnotia. The photographs are used under the licences set out in the credits below. Quoting a line of the catalogue in your own part list is expected and welcome.
Limits on liability
What you read here is offered without warranty of any kind. So far as Belgian law permits, Chemnotia accepts no liability for a loss that follows from relying on what the site says, from an hour when the site is down, or from a list that never reached the mailbox. Goods actually supplied are a different matter: their terms sit on the price list, under Belgian law, not on this page.
Which law
Belgian law applies to these terms and to any argument that arises from the site, and the courts of Leuven hear it. A consumer keeps whatever protection the law of their own country gives them.
Changes
We may revise these terms; the date at the head of the page marks the current version. Continuing to use the site after a revision is acceptance of it.
